Host Color, a web hosting provider, today announced that it has added Moodle CMS to web hosting services. It states that Moddle is an advanced software that allows educational institutions to take courses through online based course management system. The company says that its development team integrated the application in PowerTools - web host's autoinstaller software library.

It explained that Moodle CMS (Modular Object-Oriented Dynamic Learning Environment) is designed to help teachers to create and conduct online courses. It adds that the application is popular among in schools and academic institutions. It is also used by many companies and independent teachers.

Host Color states that Moodle requires only one database. It includes comprehensive database abstraction that supports many major brands of database. It claims that the software team which develops Moodle has paid strong attention on system's security. Forms are all checked, data validated, cookies encrypted and etc. It adds that their development team says that the software promotes social constructionist pedagogy, a method which includes collaboration, activity-based learning, and critical reflection.

It avers that Moodle is suitable both for online teaching and for use as supplemental face-to-face learning system. It comes with simple, lightweight, efficient, compatible, low-tech browser interface.

"Mooodle is a Multi OS CMS that runs without modification on any system that supports PHP. The CMS is designed in a modular way, which means it is very flexible.
